My name is Lauren Hight and I am currently a Digital Content Coordinator for iHeartMedia’s D.C. + Baltimore markets. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cabrini College in May 2015 with a major in communication, minor in graphic design and certification in leadership and have since worked in a variety of different environments within the media and entertainment industry.
I have established myself as a reliable and enthusiastic content developer and am always exploring new ways on how to effectively interpret a story through media. Being well versed in all aspects of the media and entertainment field has always been a top priority of mine along with building strong relationships and a dynamic work ethic.
What inspired me to enter the communication field brings me back to my high school days. From 2006 to 2012 I was a dancer for the AFL Philadelphia Soul Junior Pro Soulmates Dance Team, which consisted of approximately 150 dancers between the ages of 8 to 18. With this program, I had the chance to dance at halftime for the Soul, Harlem Globetrotters, NCAA, NY Titans lacrosse team and many more! I never would have thought that at age 16, I would be performing at Madison Square Garden. Although I was one of the performers, the numerous efforts that go into constructing a production always fascinated me.
My drive comes from my will to be successful and I do my best to make a positive impact on those around me while living life to the fullest. I have to thank my time with the Soul for encouraging me to act this way because as a performer, every move you make could end up on the jumbotron. I also owe all kinds of thanks to Cabrini for allowing me to blossom during my time there. Aside from my academics, I dedicated a vast amount of time to the student-run media outlets and various clubs and activities.
When I’m not in an edit bay, studio or design lab, I enjoy attending concerts, exploring choreography and listening to rising and major artists in the top 40 and country genres. I don’t often have many “spare moments” since I have learned to live life on the go, but when I do catch myself on my couch you can almost bet that I’m watching behind the scenes features from “Pirates of the Caribbean” or binge watching “Survivor” or “American Ninja Warrior”.
I count my blessings with each opportunity that is presented my way and my desire to thrive has never been higher. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit my LinkedIn page for more on my accomplishments and endeavors.
